O’MALLEY CRACKER PAVES THE WAY
Iorras Aontaithe (B) over came Crossmolina in the first round of the Touhy Cup at Carne Nash Park today, Sunday 2nd May, winning 2-0 in the end.
A great first half goal from Seamus O’Malley in the 25th minute from 35 yards had the home side going in at the break one nil up. In the second half Iorras continued their good game play, and with the introduction of subs, Ian Togher and Diarmuid Healy, Iorras were two nil winners with a second, goal, from Tom McAndrew close to full time. They are now in the Semi-Final stage on this divisional cup. Next Saturday evening the 8th they are away to Claremorris in the league with a 7.00pm kick-off, keep up the good work everyone.

CUP AND LEAGUE FOOTBALL, AT HOME FOR IORRAS
This Sunday the 2nd May will have Iorras Aontaithe (B) drawn against Crossmolina at 12 noon in the Touhy Cup, first round and later on at 3.00pm Iorras Aontaithe (A) are at home to Swinford in the Super league.

IORRAS (B) IN FORM AWAY TO WESTPORT (B)
Iorras Aontaithe (B) secured their first three points of the new season away to Westport United (B) in the Premier Division on Sunday 25th. Pat Murphy had Erris in front shortly into the half with a great corner, which went straight into the net deceiving everyone in the goal mouth. Westport levelled soon afterwards, despite the best efforts of Iorras keeper, Harry Reilly,it remained 1-1 at the break. In the second half, Iorras sub, Sean O’Donnell secured the points for Erris in the end with a great goal. The Management team of Reilly, Reilly and O’Malley were happy with the way the team preformed and the excellent Sub’s which guarded the win.

IORRAS BREEZE PAST CASTLEBAR CELTIC.
Iorras Aontaithe breezed past Castlebar Celtic at Carne Nash Park in the Super League on Sunday 25th April, with a very good second half performance, winning 4-1. Celtic were in front after just 27 seconds with an excellent drive from Ronan O’Boyle, which stunned the home side.
But on 14 minutes Iorras were awarded a free, almost on the halfway line, inside their own area, and Henry Gaughan sent a long kick deep into the Celtic box, which had the Castlebar keeper, Connor Ward at sixes and sevens, the ball ran lose and Micky Togher was on hand to slot it home. THIRD CONNAUGHT TITLE FOR OUR LADY’S SECONDARY SCHOOL
Iorras Aontaithe congratulates Our Lady’s Secondary School, Belmullet on their great win against Louisburg, today on a 5-1 score line in the Connaught U16 Colleges (B) final.
It was 1-1 at half time. But in the second half, the showed their class with two goals each from Cathal Barrett and Tommy Conroy and one from Paul Barrett. It was a great performance with great goals. Congratulation also to the Management team of Harry Reilly and Rob Turner.Apr 22 2010
HOME AND AWAY FOR IORRAS IN CUP DRAWS
The Mayo League Cup draws was held on Mid-West Radio on Thursday night 22nd April. In the Westaro Cup, Iorras Aontaithe are away to Swinford on the weekend of the 19th/20th June and in the Tuohy Cup, Iorras Aontaithe (B) are at home to near neighbours, Crossmolina on the 2nd May.

IN CONNAUGHT FINAL
Congratulations to Our Lady’s Secondary School, Belmullet U16 side, on securing a place in the U16 (B) Connaught College’s final in Castlebar this Friday 23rd April. They will take on Louisburg with a 11.00am kick-off.

LOCAL DERBY ENDS IN STALEMATE
Iorras Aontaithe (B) had to contend with a share of the points at home to local rivals, Kilmore United in the Primer Division on Sunday 18th April. Patrick Gilbert had the visitors in front on the 27th minute with a great shot from the edge of the area giving Harry Reilly know chance in the Iorras goal.
