IORRAS HOT ON THE TRAIL
Iorras Aontaithe continue the pressure on Ballina United at the top of the Super League with a 0-2 win away to Manulla on Sunday 9th May. Stephen Carolan had Iorras in front on 28 minutes from a Micky Togher final pass.
In the second half Iorras continued their good form when in the 63rd minute Shane Nallan scored a great individual goal when he received a pass down the right wing from Michael Meeaghan on the half way line, shaking off his marker then cutting in the box, hotly pursued by two Manulla defenders he then slotted the ball between James Jennings, the Manulla Keeper, and the up right to make it 2 nil. In the over all context of the game Iorras had the better share of play in both half’s, very good team effort overall. Next Saturday evening the 15th they have Fahy Rovers at home with a 7.00pm kick-off.

McAndrew Screamer is not enough
Iorras Aontaithe (B) were away to Claremorris in the Premier Division on Saturday evening the 8th May and went down 1-2. Claremorris scored on 22 and 25 minutes but Iorras pulled one back 5 minutes from half time with a Tom McAndrew free kick, which was well taken from 25 yards. In the second half Iorras lost two of there mid-field who limped off and Player-Manager, Paul Reilly had to go between the sticks with Harry Reilly joining the attack. Final Score, Claremorris 2 Iorras 1. Next Sunday 16th Iorras (B) are at home to Crossmolina, kick-off at 2.30pm

GREAT FIGHT BACK BY IORRAS.
Iorras Aontaithe recovered well to take all three points in their home tie against Swinford in the Super League on Sunday May 2nd winning 4-2 in the end.

O’MALLEY CRACKER PAVES THE WAY
Iorras Aontaithe (B) over came Crossmolina in the first round of the Touhy Cup at Carne Nash Park today, Sunday 2nd May, winning 2-0 in the end.
A great first half goal from Seamus O’Malley in the 25th minute from 35 yards had the home side going in at the break one nil up. In the second half Iorras continued their good game play, and with the introduction of subs, Ian Togher and Diarmuid Healy, Iorras were two nil winners with a second, goal, from Tom McAndrew close to full time. They are now in the Semi-Final stage on this divisional cup. Next Saturday evening the 8th they are away to Claremorris in the league with a 7.00pm kick-off, keep up the good work everyone.
