Iorras Aontaithe continue the pressure on Ballina United at the top of the Super League with a 0-2 win away to Manulla on Sunday 9th May. Stephen Carolan had Iorras in front on 28 minutes from a Micky Togher final pass.
In the second half Iorras continued their good form when in the 63rd minute Shane Nallan scored a great individual goal when he received a pass down the right wing from Michael Meeaghan on the half way line, shaking off his marker then cutting in the box, hotly pursued by two Manulla defenders he then slotted the ball between James Jennings, the Manulla Keeper, and the up right to make it 2 nil. In the over all context of the game Iorras had the better share of play in both half’s, very good team effort overall. Next Saturday evening the 15th they have Fahy Rovers at home with a 7.00pm kick-off.
