Iorras Aontaithe (B) put in a very good second half performance to secure the points v Claremorris in their first away game of the new league season in the Premier Division. Iorras started well but on the 7th and 16th minute Claremorris capitalised on some sloppy defending and went two up. But on the 28th minute Iorras veteran striker, Harry Reilly latched on to a great pass from another veteran striker, Garth O’Malley to pull one back for the visitors. The two strikers came very close to levelling the game on 31st and 34th minute but on the 44th minute Claremorris could have made it 3-1, going into the break, but for the nimble fingers of Iorras keeper, Gary Keane, making his debut between the posts.
In the second half Iorras looked a different side and on the 64th minute, Garth O’Malley made it 2-2 and he secured the points for Iorras on the 76th minute after some good play from Jack Deane. This was a very good team performance which showed good character, coming from behind and probing like they did. Manager, Micheal S. Togher was delighted with the way the team played.
