A week is a long time in Politics and so is 45 minutes and Erris put in a great performance in the second half in their second League game encounter with Knock-Kiltimagh on Sunday 23rd claiming all three points.

Erris found themselves a goal down shortly into the opening half when the visitors were awarded a free on the left of the area and Dara Handlen headed home at the near post.

Then shortly after, the visitors could have made it two but Dara Handlen failed to connect with an excellent cross from close range. Erris were back level on 34 minutes with a Kyle O’Reilly free from 25 yards to the bottom corner.  Knock-Kiltimagh added two more before half time to leave the score 1-3.

After a good dressing down at half time Erris looked a different side when play resumed and Kyle O’Reilly made it 2-3 with an excellent free from just outside the area and again with a good hat-trick effort shortly after. Dylan Walker slotted home two more and the visitors scored again just before full time, 5-4 the final score.

Erris will be delighted with their second half showing saying that Carnenash Park is still a daunting place at the best of times.
