After a football season to forget, Erris United have avoided the dreaded relegation nightmare in the Super League winning 0-2 away to Fahy Rovers, who incidentally are already relegated. In the end the win gave Iorras a five point cushion.
The two goals came in the second half both from the penalty spot, Jason Boylan the provider, the first coming in the opening minutes of the half and the other towards the end. Manager Martin McIntyre has a big smile on his face, – good things come to those that wait.
Erris certainly has leaved up to its reputation for been slow starters, finally putting a number of important wins together in the closing stages to maintain their top flight status.
