The game was played in a very strong and very cold cross field wind, reminiscent of Carne Nash Park. The home side started the brighter with Erris Keeper, Shane Nallan have to deal with a good header from a corner two minutes into the game.

Shane Murphy made it 2-0 with Micky Togher the provider. Then 8 minutes later Erris scored their third when Brendan Nallan wiped in a good free out on the right to the fare post for
David Reilly to head home.
Micky Togher rounded off a measurable afternoon for the Galway side when he scored the fourth goal for Erris.
