Iorras Aontaithe got back to winning ways at home to Claremorris on Saturday evening the 7th July in the Super League putting in a very good performance on a score line, Erris 3 Claremorris 1.
Erris were 3-0 up going in at the break, Jason Boylan scoring two quick fire efforts on 7 and 9 minutes and Micky Togher scoring the best of the three goals just on half time, with the final pass for all three, from Player-Manager, Brendan Nallen. Claremorris had their moments in the opening half with Gavin Connell, Danny Broderick Brian Gallagher always threatening. In the second half Iorras had their backs to the wall for a period, with Erris Keeper, Shane Nallen in good form. On 55 minutes, Jason Boylan was substituted when he picked up a knock and was replaced by Tom Duffy. Brain Gallagher pulled a goal back for Claremorris before the final whistle. This was important win for Erris after their recent League defeat away to the Super Champions for 2012 (after four rounds), Westport United, plus there exit from the FCS Cup at the semi-final stage. Iorras are away to Ballina Town on Thursday evening the 12th and away to Fahy Rovers on Sunday 15th 2.30pm kick-off

In the other League clash over the weekend Sunday 8th in Premier (B), Iorras Aontaithe (B) recovered their composure in the second half of their away derby encounter with local rivals, Kilmore United coming from 2-0 down to finish the came 2-2. Both goals for Iorras (B) scored by Padraig Doherty and Gareth O’Malley, Iorras could has taken all three points but Gareth O’Malley’s penalty effort hit the post in the 88th minute.
