LATE SHOW SAVES POINT FOR IORRAS

Iorras Aontaithe got their first point on the board of the 2011 season in the Super League against arch rivals, Westport United at Care Nash Park on Saturday evening the 16th, final score, Iorras 2 Westport 2.

Iorras Captain, Anthony Mills, good opening goal.

In the opening exchanges, Iorras can thank their Keeper, Enda Conroy for making three good saves from Vinny O’Malley, David Cameron and Danny Scahill.

 

 

 

But on 28 minutes the Erris Captain, Anthony Mills put the home side in front after a neat pass from Brendan Nallen that caught the Westport defence out and Mills made know mistake from close range.

Micky Togher, great finish

The first half ended at 1-0. But when played resumed, Westport were backĀ  level on the 65 minute when Vinny O’Malley headed home from a David Cameron cross . In the 80th minute Vinny O’Malley and David Cameron were both denied by the goalpost with their efforts. Then in the 85th minute, Liam Stanton put Westport ahead, through a crowded area. But on the 89th minute Micky Togher saved a point for Erris with an excellent goal from the edge of the box.
