Iorras Aontaithe U18 had a superb 5.1 win over a classy Knocknacarra side from Galway in the F.A.I. Youth Cup last 64.
After an evenly matched first half that ended 1.1 Iorras pushed on after half time to run out comfortable winners with two penalties from Tom McAndrew and a goal each from Cathal Barrett, Tommy Conroy and Jason Boylan after a very good all round team performance. Coaches, Eric O’Reilly and Joe McNulty can look forward to the next game with great optimism. Its a number of years since Iorras progressed this far in the youth cup, and having gone the season unbeaten at home at u18 level, with a bit of luck, and a home draw this side can go a long way in this season competition. Well done everyone and keep up the good work.

I’m a reporter for that Brooklyn Paper (and a huge lover of you, Stephen!) and I would like to gnaerete a tale about this, framing the story around a letter writer who’s from Brooklyn. Are any of your upcoming letters about to be from Brooklyn folks? You should deliver me an email when you can. Thanks.
