SEVENTH HEAVEN FOR IORRAS

Category: UncategorizedThomas @ 3:26 pm

It’s a case of seventh heaven for Iorras Aontaithe at the top of the Mayo Super league with seven wins from seven, away to S. & F. UnitedĀ  on Sunday 30th May with the final score of 1-3.

In lovely warm sunshine, Iorras went in front on the 15th minute when Shane Nallan provided an excellent cross from the right, just inside the S. & F. half to his brother, Brendan who scored with a great volley from the edge of the area.

Iorras continued to press forward and on 41 minutes Iorras were awarded a free on the half way line, Henry Gaughan’s excellent free was met at the far post by Brendan Nallan who headed home for his second. But two minutes later, indecisive defending by Iorras, gifted S. & F. United a goal, by Paul Moran and it remained 1-2 at half time.
