Passion, speed, tenacity and patience was the order of the night at Milebush Park on Wednesday night the 2nd December in the Masters league for Iorras Aontaithe over 35 v S.&F. United with Eric O’Reilly scoring late to secure the point. Iorras dominated the opening half and were unlucky with efforts from Eric and Harry Reilly. In the Masters League ,which is proving very popular, the pace of the game is frighting at times with 25 minutes aside. It was nil-nil at the break but shortly into the second half a shot that deceived Pat Walker, the Iorras keeper, gave S&F the lead which was totaly against the run of play. But Iorras never gave up with good efforts from Micky Dixon, Eamon Dixon and Anthony Duffy getting stuck in to their markers at every moment. But in the closing seconds of the game Iorras combined well in a good move to leave Eric the glory of salvaging the point. Over all it was a fine team effort on the night. The photo you’ve been waiting for. I see the over 35’s have a mentor. In the x factor the oldies were mentored by Simon Cowell, we get Christy Cawley. Any chance of getting Dannii Minogue for next season. Can i also say that the team photo looks like the ‘Before’ picture in a hair restoring advert. Or would that be too rude?
