At a wind and rain swiped Kilmore Community Ground, Iorras Aontaithe/Erris United went head to head against newly crowned Division one champions, Ballyglass in the third round of the F.A.I junior Cup, the game was switched from Carnenash park due to surface water at the last minute. As predicted the wind was a force 8-9 with heavy rain at times with Iorras playing against the wind in the opening half. At half time it was 2-0 to Iorras with goals from Garth O’ Malley (2 minutes) and Ivan Barrett (41 minutes). In the second half assisted by that very strong wind, Iorras scored three more goals from Ivan Barrett (55 minutes) and Shane Nallan on (65 and 80 minutes), one of these from a free. Iorras will be at home in the forth round against Manulla on the 6th December. Player-Manager, Eric O’Reilly was, again, very happy with the way the team preformed given the very windy and wet weather conditions in which the game was played.
