Over 50 under age members of the club with minders made the trip to the recent Ireland v Italy, World Cup Qualifier, in Dublin. The party left Belmullet early on Saturday 10th and stopped at Swinford and Feericks of Rathowen before heading to the game. There was a look of excitement on the Childrens faces as they set off for the match with the World champions. The club says thank you to all the minders for making the event so exciting. Comments on how the day went, please.

Thank you to all of the children who were a pleasure to travel with and behaved impeccably throughout. Thank you to all of the minders who counted everyone out and counted everyone back. Particular praise to all the non parent minders who took to it like a duck to water, especially Paul Barrett who had eyes in the back of his head and his five bucks stuck to him like glue all day long. Thank you to the bus drivers. Thank you to Paul and Eric for doing all the hard work while being lumbered with the selection process. Thank you to Sean St.Ledger for giving us four or five minutes of absolute bliss. Thank you to all the people who booed Brian Cowen, thank you to all the people who waved at our bus, thank you to the Lord for providing the food to sustain the appetite of 12 year old boys (a meal in Swinford, Feericks, pre match, half time and Feericks again), thank you to Mr. Boylan for breaking the world vomit record, thank you to John Delaney for inviting us and thank you to Erris United for (once again) giving us the opportunity to have fun and pride.
