ITS GREAT QUACK

Category: UncategorizedThomas @ 9:03 pm

Its a photo finish.

The annual Club Duck race was held on the evening of  the 18th and it was certainly one to remember, with a large number of ducks making a dash for freedom over the boom, faster then a group of turkey’s running from christmas.

Freedom at last.

The results are: 1st Leanne Harraghy, (Stephens Girl), Bangor (500 Euro). 2nd (100 Euro) Peter Keane, Toorglass. 3rd (100 Euro) Cassie Gaughan, Tipp. 4th (50 Euro) Linda Hefferon, Tipp. The last duck home was for Padraig Dixon, Ardmore (50 Euro).

The Club would like to thank the Sponsor’s of the Duck Race for their continuing support: Lennon’s  Quarries. Chameleon Hair Salon. Jackie s Ices. Langans Euro saver. Barrett’s Wholesale and Gerard Coyle, Auctioneers.

Kevin Carey, Paul Reilly and Oisin Murphy coming under pressure with their balloons.

During the day, Heritage Day, The club had its stand in operation manned by Club members, and many thanks to everyone for their support in the fundraising efforts.

(Many thanks again to all for helping with the Lá Logha & Heritage day fundraising efforts in what ever way).
