A DAY OF MIXED EMOTIONS

There was mixed emotions on Sunday 16th for Iorras Aontaithe when they crashed out of the F.A.I. Junior Cup 4th round at home to Super League rivals, Ballina Town , final score 4-1.

Cup exit for Erris

All the goals came in the second half with Anthony Mills getting the only goal for Erris.  They will have to pick themselves up for their next fixture, a third round Connaught Cup clash away in Galway on next Sunday 30th January.

There was smiles all round for Iorras Aontaithe U18 when they qualified for the last 16 of the F.A.I. Youth Cup with Paul Barrett getting a late winner against Barna F.C. from Galway. This game had an early morning kick-off at Kilmore Community ground ( the use of the facility for this game was very welcomed by Erris and thank you to all). Well done everyone and good luck in the next round.

OVER 35 MAINTAIN THEIR POSITION AT THE TOP

Iorras Aontaithe Over 35 continue to maintain their position at the top of the Masters League with last minute 1-nil winner against Ballyvary B/B. Pat Murphy scoring the vital goal.

Club Vice-Chairman, Garth O'Malley extending a warm welcome to some of the supporters observing the training sessions.

Pre-season training continues every Tuesday and Thursday and all are very welcome.

“BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN”

After Mr. Freeze put paid to any football activity over the past number of weeks it looks like it’s “Back in the Saddle again” for Iorras Aontaithe with a home tie against Ballina Town in the fourth round of the F.A.I. Junior cup on Sunday 16th January with a 2pm kick-off. The Connaght Cup third round clash away to Croughwell of Galway is pencilled in for January 30th.

IORRAS AONTAITHE U15s OFF ON THEIR TRAVELS

Iorras Aontaithe U15s make the long journey to Donegal on Sunday for their F.A.I. U15 (last 64) cup game v Kilmacrennan Celtic, ko, at 2pm in Rathmullen. Best of luck to everyone involved.

RESULT- Kilmaccrennan Celtic 7 Iorras Aontaithe 1 (Tommy Conroy in the second half)
