Tom Gruddy is making a habit of scoring every Wednesday night having scored in the sides defeat to Glenisland United in their last outing. Manager, Michael S. Togher was pleased with their first win, saying, he is waiting for some old saddle sore cowboys to get back in the side, dust down their Stetsons, oil up their spurs and load up their Winchesters for the games ahead.

GOOD WEEKEND FOR IORRAS
To follow up the clubs unforgetable trip to see Ireland v Italy in the world cup quailifer in Croke park last weekend,Iorras Aontaithe underage had a excellent weekend on the pitch with Iorras Aontaithe u13s recording a 5.2 victory away to Castlebar town in the u13 league,Iorras Aontaithe u16s were also on their travels and won 2.0 in Achill in the u16 cup. Iorras Aontaithe u18s also had a fine 3.1 victory over S and F in the u18 league,a very good weekend all round considering the large amount of players that cried off sick,u16s and u18s had the bare 11 for their games and the u13s travelled with only 12 players and lost a player to injury early in first half, well done to all players and management.

THE WILD BUNCH RIDE AGAIN.
The Wild Bunch directed by Sam Peckinpah, is a award winning western from 1969 about an ageing outlaw gang at the Texas-Mexico border trying to exist in the modern world of supposedly 1913. The film was controversial because of its violence and the portrayal of the crude men trying to survive the era. On Wednesday night the 21st October Iorras Aontaithe will have its own version of the Wild Bunch taking to the astro turf of Milebush Park for the launch of the over 35 Westaro Masters league against Fahy Rovers with kick-off at 9.00pm. Former Club greats like Micky Dixon, Martin Boylan, Anthony Duffy, Eamon Dixon and Harry Reilly, to name but a few, will be putting on their boots for one last ride. In the move the leader of the gang was a man called Pike Bishop played by William Holden but leading the Clubs over 35 side will be our version of Pike Bishop, Michael S.Togher. There’s a line in the move spoken by Deke Thornton played by Robert Ryan when he says “We’re after men, real men, and I wished to god I was with them”. Ride on Iorras Aontaithe over 35,s
