Castlebar Celtic 5 Iorras Aontaithe 7
Iorras u17s kept their Premier Division league title hopes alive after a thunderous second half comeback against a class Castlebar Celtic outfit in Celtic park this evening
Half the Iorras u17 team landed at the bus with ice creams and for a long time it appeared a day out at the beach was all they had in their heads
Celtic had led 2.1 at half time after dominating play with Iorras getting their goal after a great ball by Aran Reilly was clinically put away by Luke O’ Reilly on the stroke of half time,a couple of superb saves in the first half by Evan Ivers kept the score down
At half the teacups went flying and the hairdryers came out but for 20 minutes after half time Iorras could not touch the ball going 4.1 down before Luke o Reilly headed in his second but minutes later went 5.2 down.
but then the shackles came off with Johnny Harding and Keith Kennedy entering the game and Iorras tore into Celtic all over the pitch winning every tackle finding their man with every ball and Luke o Reilly cut loose adding 5 more to his tally one a classy back-heel after a super head back from Mikey Conroy, assists are the latest big thing now and Mikey Conroy,Mikey Lavelle,Johnny Harding Aran Reilly and Evan Ivers get fantasy football bonus points,Matthieu our French student says we’re class team even got in the team picture
And Bob should have scored the 8th.
Seven goals for a player in any game is good, but when ya do it in the top division in the county, away to one of the best teams in the county it deserves special mention- Luke O’ Reilly take a bow
Iorras u17s last league game is the winner takes all clash with Manulla in Carnenash this Thursday 26th ko 7pm.
Don’t miss it
