Erris United hosted their 2014 awards night in the Clann Lir Bar on Sunday 31st May.
The awards were presented by former Erris United and current Notts County striker Mr. Ronan Murray and the awards were Sponsored by McNulty’s Coach’s Belmullet & many thanks to them for their continuing support.
The winners were:
Under 11 Player of the year: Ben Shevlin.
Under 12 Golden Boot: Daragh Dixon.
Under 12 POY: Daithi Cosgrove.
Under 13 GB: Eamon Fallon.
Under 13 POY: Luke McWilliams.
Presentations were made to Evan Ivers and Luke O’Reilly to celebrate their selection for the 2015 Kennedy Cup Team.
Under 14 GB: Evan Ivers.
Under 14 POY: Fionnan Ryan.
Under 15 GB: Mikey Conroy.
Under 15 POY: David Padden.
Under 16 GB: Daragh Murray.
Under 16 POY: Johnny Harding.
Under 17 GB: Justin Healy.
Under 17 POY: Michael Hurst.
A presentation was made to Ryan O’Donohue to celebrate his signing for Sligo Rovers.
B Team GB: Stephen Cawley.
B Team POY: Brendan Doherty.
A Team Young POY: Ryan Ruddy.
A Team GB: Jason Boylan this awards was excepted by Jason’s Dad Martin he himself an award winner for the Club in days gone bye.

WET WET WET

In this Super league clash played in very heavy rain at Carne Nash Park on Saturday evening 30th, Iorras and Manulla had played 65 minutes of football when Referee Damian McGrath called time on play due to the excessive heavy rain which was making the playing conditions dangerous and at that stage in the proceedings the game at nil-nil.

Both sides had opportunities to score with the best of these  falling to Erris United with the Manulla and Mayo Miner Keeper, Mathew Flanagan having to at his best to block efforts from Ivan Barrett, Kyle O’Reilly, Brendan Nallen and Thomas Murphy.
Iorras Aontaithe are away to Ballina Town on Saturday evening the 6th June with a 7.30pm kick-off.

BALL RUN & MORE

The Club will have the long awaited fundraising Ball run on Sunday 31st on Church Street beginning at 5pm with ball cards available leading up to the event at An Builin Blasta and on the round-a-bout. This event will be held regardless of wind, rain, storm.
