Iorras Aontaithe B had to contend with a share of the points away to Ballyglass in Division one on Sunday 31st. Sean Gaughan had Iorras in front 10 minutes in to the second half but they were unfortunate to give away a penalty 15 minutes from time. This leaves the B side 2 points off the leaders with two game to go. The final score was Ballyglass 1 Iorras Aontaithe 1 Next Sunday the 3rd September they are at home to Ballina United kick-off at 11.30am.

Ivan on form
Iorras Aontaithe scored another vital win away to local rivals, Bangor Hib’s in the super league on Saturday evening 30th. Ivan Barrett was the star of the game scoring 4 goals, 2 in the first half and one in second half plus one from the penalty spot. Iorras were a goal down in the first 2 minutes but Jonathon Donahue had Iorras back level not long after. Iorras were 3 goals to the good going in to the break and Iorras continued their good form in the second half memorable performances from Anthony Mills, Pat Barrett and Steven Nallen. Brendan Nallen picked up an ankle injury just before full time and may be out for the remainder of the season. Final Score was Bangor Hib’s 2 Iorras Aontaithe 5. Next up in the super league are Castlebar Celtic away and Claremorris at home.

Youth Update.
Training for U10 continues on Monday evening at 5.15pm.
U12 are 3rd in their league table with two games in hand on the leaders.
U14 league season has ended with a mid table position with a 5 nil win over Westport B.
U16 are half way through their season at the moment not getting the results they would like but playing well.
U18 are back in pre season training and their league kicks off in September.
U11 have lost one and won 5 in the U11 fun league and over 40 players have participated in the U11 league to date.

And as a foot note, the U12 side beat Bangor Hib’s 3-1 away this evening the 29th in the league with goals from Kyle Reilly, James Kelly and Pete McAthur.

Fun Day At Erris United For FAI Visit
The video is a clip of what was happening at the Erris United ground the day the CEO of the FAI, John Delaney and President David Blood and others called to the ground as part of the week long festival of football related activities on the 21st of July. As you can see from the movie clip everyone is enjoying themselves with the various activities it was a memorable day for all involved at the club.

Erris Continue Revival
Erris United continued their revival in the Mayo Super league at home to Castlebar Celtic on Saturday 23th,the game was played in incessantly heave rain, with goals from Jason O’Donnell (12 minutes) Brendan Nallen (17and a great solo run goal from med field on 78 minutes) and Anthony Mills (22 minutes). With the final score reading Erris United 4 Castlebar Celtic 2. This win moves Erris out of the bottom 3 with Bangor Hib’s next up on Sunday 31st of August. ERRIS UTD B BACK TO WINNING WAYS
Iorras Aontaithe B got back to winning ways at home to Kiltimagh/Knock Utd on Thurday evening the 21st August in Division one on a score line of 4-2 with goals from John Noel Flannery 1 Garth O’Malley 1 and 2 from Shane Nallen this win puts them back into second place in the table. On this Saturday evening the 23rd Iorras Aontaithe A are at home to Castlebar Celtic in the Super League.

MUCH NEEDED POINTS SECURED IN SUPER LEAGUE.
Iorras Aonthaithe secured much needed points at home to Ballyheane on Sunday 17th in the Super League on a score line of 5-1, with goals from Ivan Barrett (2), Brendan Nallen (2) and (1) from Garth O’Malley.
The Club’s (B) side had no such luck against Partry Athletic in their game, at home, played on Saturday evening ,the 16th in Division one. After a scoreless first half two minutes into the second half Micky Togher had the ball in the back of the Partry net from close range, the game was a close affair with United going down 2-1 in the end. The B-side now find themselves off the top of the Division and 5 points off the leaders.
