ITS ALRIGHT FRED
Iorras Aontaithe U17′s put 4 past table toppers Conn Rangers in a excellent 4.0 win in Carnenash this evening the 11th, after playing against a stiff breeze Iorras took a 1.0 lead to the break after goal machine John Linehan sent a thunderbolt to the corner of the net from the edge of the box. Iorras doubled their lead after a Mikey lavelle free was parried by the Conn keeper and Aran Reilly followed up to neatly tuck the ball away. Iorras got their 3rd when Iorras goalkeeper left a 70 yard pass on Mikey Lavelle’s toe who duly burst through two defenders to bury in the Conn Rangers net. The icing came minutes later when twinkle toes, Padraig Monaghan got on the end of a Luke O’ Reilly through ball,to swivel in the box only to be sent flying,Padraig dusted himself down to hammer home the resultant penalty

IORRAS U13’S ON A ROLL
BEN AND EOIN ON SONG.
Erris Under 13’s were at home to Kilmurry on a perishing Friday evening 8th but it didn’t take long for the match to warm up.
Thirty seconds in and Connor Barrett went on a run from centre back, fed Owen Doherty, who ran straight for goal before delivering a thunderbolt shot into the net.
In the blink of an eye, Erris were four nil up before Manager Des rushed over to make some subs. Some of the senior internationals were withdrawn to allow the younger bucks to get a go. By half time Erris were seven nil up.
The second half was a much more even affair with a final score of us 8 them 1.
Highlights included Ben Donahue and Eoin Walsh performing miracles together on the left wing. This has the potential of being the greatest partnership since a young Paul McCartney asked John Lennon could he be in his band.
Tony Lavelle got his first goal of the season but had a nightmare in goal in the second half to allow Kilmurry back into it.
Dylan Togher scored a hat trick and kept the match-ball (one of the new Size 5’s (expensive)). Owen Doherty scored two, Eoin Walsh got one and Eoin Gaughan scored an acrobatic bicycle kick.
Molly O’Connor played centre midfield and buckled a few bucks, Charles McDonagh played everywhere, Lenny Gilbert and Ethan Monaghan tested the new interpretation of the offside rule and Jack Deane put in the greatest cross in the history of history for one of the goals.
Joint manager Lenny Gilbert was taking all the credit as this was his first week on the sideline, unfortunately, he hasn’t done enough yet to deserve getting into the photo.

Erris Utd U15s secure a point at home to Ballina in league opener.
U15s secure a point at home to Ballina in their first league outing in this premier division clash at Carnenash this evening 6th. The weather again was making good football impossible, but the home side will feel it was a case of two points dropped as they missed chance after chance, especially in the last 10 mins, when they had Ballina on the ropes.
New signings goalkeeper Fiachna Barrett and left back John Ginty had superb debuts, and settled in well. Owen and Shea were solid in the middle, with right back Luke playing everywhere the ball was, and unlucky not to net the winner near the end. The midfield of Eamon, Niall, Robert and Matthew worked hard to secure possession and feed the hungry forward pairing, last years golden boot joint winners, Dara Padden and Daithi Cosgrove, but the strikers could not find the target, although Daithi struck a post late on after good work from sub Mark Tighe and Shea. Daragh Dixon came on also to find the elusive goal, but it was not to be. After 80 minutes, Iorras could not believe they had not scored after well over a dozen chances, but manager Harry was delighted with a strong performance and a point to get things started for this season. Thanks to all the subs who were frozen in the dugout, and to Robbie for his assistance, much appreciated.
Next up is an away trip to Westport on Wednesday next the 13th, see you all at training on Friday at 5 pm, registration will take place also so please bring someone to sign your reg form, thanks.

IORRAS U17’S DROP POINTS IN MANULLA
Iorras u17s went down to the odd goal in 5 to a excellent Manulla side in Manulla this evening Monday 4th in an eventful game. Iorras took the lead through a breakaway goal which Mikey Lavelle finished coolly to the net, due reward for his tireless running all evening but not as coolly as Shane Togher’s finish to his own net though, Iorras had a very good shout for a penalty when Luke O’ Reilly was pulled down in the area but referee deemed otherwise. Iorras took the lead again, though in controversial fashion, when Dylan Walker tapped in a rebound from a Luke O’ Reilly shot amid claims of offside from the Manulla Players. Manulla equalized minutes later and Iorras players were just as vocal in their claims for offside with good reason, Manulla got the winner in injury time when a shot from long distance was deemed to have crossed the line in bewilderment to the outstanding Iorras keeper Fionnan Ryan. Iorras played excellent over the 80 minutes and probably deserved a share of the spoils but that’s football.
U17s next game is a home league tie v Conn Rangers on Monday 11th April.
Great touch and control Mikey Conroy, and thanks to the Manulla keeper no names mentioned, for not lending your cap to the Iorras goalkeeper.

LUKE HAS THE LAST WORD
Iorras Aontaithe U17’s showed great character in snatching all three points away to Ballina Town in the league on Tuesday evening the 22nd, final score, Ballina 3 Iorras 4.
The score was 1-1 at the break with Iorras going in front on 8 minutes, Dylan Walker leading the way with nice finish but the home side leveled just on half time. Shortly into the second half Ballina went in front and ten minutes later they added a third. But Erris were undeterred and with a header from John Leneghan, a free from the edge of the area from Mikie Lavelle and a very late winner from Luke O’Reilly the trip home was most enjoyable. Next up, Knock/Kiltimagh. Joint stand in Managers, Tom Reilly & David Reilly were very pleased.
TEAM PANEL-Ethan Healy, Keith Kennedy,Shane Togher, Mikey Conroy, Eoin McDonnell: John Lenaghan (Capt.), Luke O’Reilly,Aran Reilly,Dylan Walker, Mikey Lavelle: Johnny Harding. Subs Used: Padraic Monaghan & Patrick Gallagher. Well done to all.

IORRAS U17’S TAKE A SHARE OF THE POINTS IN OPENING LEAGUE CLASH.
Iorras Aontaithe u17 had an excellent 2.2 draw with Castlebar Celtic in Carnenash Park Saturday 19th in their first league game of the season.
Despite going 1.0 down after 5 minutes, Iorras came back in the game and leveled before half time with a cool finish from John Linehan, which was Johns first ever competitive goal for Iorras (need to practice that celebration).
Iorras kept up the pressure in the second half and went close with efforts from Johnny Harding and a couple from Padraic Cowman, Iorras pressure finally told when a through ball from Aran Reilly played Luke O’ Reilly through who beat two defenders to slot the ball into the Celtic net. Celtic pulled one back to make it 2.2 but there was still time for Fionnan Ryan to make a great save for Iorras and Dylan Walker to pull a good stop from the Celtic keeper. Best for Iorras on day was striker come defender, Mikey Conroy who was outstanding at center half for Iorras.
TEAM :Fionnan Ryan, Keith Kennedy, Mikey Conroy, Shane Togher, Eoin McDonnell,John Linehan, Luke O’ Reilly, Aran Reilly, Dylan Walker, Padraic Cowman, Johnny Harding, Ethan Healy, Mikey Lavelle
