Iorras Aontaithe secured three vital away points in their Super League clash against Manulla on Sunday 3rd July, final score: Iorras 1 Manulla 0.

Mark Gilbert, securing the points for Erris

Mark Gilbert was the hero for Erris getting his head to a great cross three minutes into the encounter from Sean Gaughan. This win was very important, given their position in the Super League table.

Tom Duffy, goal on 82 minutes, not enough for Erris (B) V Kilmore

Iorras Aontaithe (B) unfortunately, slumped to a 4-1 defeat away to local side, Kilmore United on Saturday evening the 2nd in Premier Division (B). Tom Duffy scored for Erris eight minutes before full time. The league season for the (B) side is turning out to be a nightmare, and despite having lots of possession in this encounter, they failed to turn it into goals.

IORRAS (B) THROW AWAY THREE GOAL LEAD

Category: UncategorizedThomas @ 7:06 pm

Iorras Aontaithe (B) were at home to Partry Athletic on Sunday 26th in the League, the final score, Iorras (B) 3 Partry 3.  Sean O’Donnell had Iorras (B)  two goals up at half time, and were in control.

Sean O'Donnell, had Erris (B) in front at the break, with two goals

Shortly in the second half, the home side made it 3-0 when Stephen Cawley was fouled in the area, the offending Partry player was red carded and a penalty was awarded which Padraig Doherty converted. But after that, things tended to go down hill for Iorras (B).

Padraig Doherty, penalty conversion in second half

On 64 minutes John Paul Sweeney started the comeback for ten men Partry and on 78 and 83 minutes, Kieran Henley levelled proceedings with two good efforts. Stephen Cawley, Paul Barrett and Jason Boylan had a few chances to take all three points for Iorras, but poor finishing let them down.

Iorras (B) were a shamble after the first Partry goal and failed to protect a three goal advantage. In fact, the visitors could have taken all three points in the closing minutes, such was the state Erris were in.
